The Regency of Pontianak Officially Change to Mempawah District
MEMPAWAH - Head of the Regional Representative Council of Pontianak Regency, Rahmad Satria said the Mempawah district is officially declared as stated by Government Regulation (PP) Number 58 Year 2014 about alteration of Regency of Pontianak to Mempawah District.
"With the acknowledge of Government Regulation No. 58 year 2014 about Alteration of Mempawah district on 11 September 2014, parliament then obliged to follow up by conducting dissemination of usage. Therefore, the socialization have recounted in the plenary session of the council yesterday," he said. Sunday (9/14/2014).
He admitted very pleased with the issuance of this regulation, beyond long and endeavor-striving process of changing Pontianak District into District Mempawah has resulted. This was great achievement led by regional legislative and executive council.
This effort had been attempted since 2011. Following stages and long striving process has been through despite of many correction of necessary documents due to lack of requirements,” he said.
